Snacking is not something that needs to be avoided when living a healthy lifestyle. In fact, healthy snacks can add nutritional value to your diet! Check out some of our favourite snacks here at House of Wellness!
Bet you never thought someone would be SUGGESTING you eat chips– especially before and after a workout. Quest chips are keto-friendly, gluten-free and loaded with protein. Each bag contains at least 18 grams of protein coming from milk protein isolate. Not only are these chips loaded with protein and low in carbohydrate, but they are beyond tasty! Our favourite is the chili lime!
#2: Sweet Nutrition Soft Baked Cookies
These things taste EXACTLY like the real deal. Sweet Nutrition Soft Baked Cookies are naturally sweetened and contain only 1 gram of net carbs per serving. They are keto friendly, plant-based, gluten-free, GMO-free, and dairy-free. They also have added MCT oil to satisfy hunger, boost energy, and improve focus. The double chocolate and snickerdoodle flavours are by far my favourite. If you have not tried these, I would definitely suggest giving them a shot.
Now these are probably my favourite on the list. If you’re a candy lover, these are a game changer! They are plant-based vegan candies that contain only 2-3 grams of sugar per bag! They contain no artificial sugars or flavours. They are 100% NATURAL! Not only that, but they contain all the fiber you need within a day. They come in awesome flavours like cola gummies, sweet fish, and more!
Twin Peaks Protein Puffs are a great snack if you’re looking for a high protein, low carb snack. Each serving has 21 grams, 2 grams of carbs, 4 grams of fat, and 1 gram of sugar. They are soy-free, gluten-free, keto-friendly, and contain no potatoes! These puffs are so delicious and a great alternative to protein powder before and after a workout! They come in sour cream and onion, barbeque, nacho cheese and more!
#5: Gimme Organics Roasted Seaweed
Seaweed snacks are a great option for those looking for a low-calorie snack! One serving contains 25 calories, 2 grams of fat, 1 gram of carbohydrate, and 1 gram of protein. These snacks are also GMO-free, gluten-free, vegan, and organic! Seaweed is a great source of iodine, vitamin K, vitamin C, zinc, iron, and antioxidants. These snacks come in teriyaki and sea salt flavour.
Looking for a traditional chocolate covered nut but without all the extra sugar and calories? Skinny Dipped is exactly what you're looking for. These nuts are lightly coated with chocolate and other yummy flavours to give you that same guilty pleasure! Our favourite is the lemon bliss almonds!
