You've probably heard by now that Probiotics are the "friendly bacteria" which can help repopulate the balance of beneficial microorganisms in your gastrointestinal tract which help you digest, absorb nutrients, bolster the immune system, and even produce neurotransmitters to help regulate your mood... but you might be put off by just taking them as a pill. These six new products from Organic Traditions provide a respectable dose of 1 Billion units of a very hardy type of probiotic per serving in the context of powdered foods which easily reconstitute into drinks which confer other benefits, as well: whether nutritional, laxative, antioxidant, or infection-fighting. The Probiotic Superfood Smoothie Mix also features the fiber- and Omega-3-rich chia and flax seeds (which have been treated with a natural, organic, food grade sanitizer to destroy foodborne pathogens and finely sliced and made into a uniform, shelf-stable powder using their proprietary cold milling process to minimize their oxidation and loss of nutrients), and ups that ante of heart healthy essential fatty acids by adding hemp hearts, plus coconut for more fibre and taste, non-alkalized cacao for a delicious chocolate flavour with a good concentration of antioxidants. Depending on your routine, you might find this type the easiest to use, simply by sprinkling it onto your breakfasts or desserts as a topper.
There are also two delicious coconut-based Latte blends available: one featuring Matcha (green tea) with extra Vanilla flavour, and the other featuring Turmeric (both whole dried organic turmeric plus CO2 Supercritical Turmeric Dual Extract), with a dash of saffron. To make the perfect creamy latte, simply whisk a tablespoon in six ounces of water. Or they can be made cold in a blender or a shaker cup, or added to a smoothie, or mixes with herbal tea or combined with other Organic Traditions superfood drinks.
Take 10 grams (about 1 tablespoon) either in 8 to 16 oz. of water, juice, smoothies or even coffee or tea, or just sprinkle it on or add it as an ingredient to virtually any dish or recipe that you want to boost with these fiber-rich superfoods.
If you are on antibiotics, take these 2 to 3 hours either before of after those.
Store in a cool, dry, dark place. For optimal freshness, product may be refrigerated after opening.
You can add the delicious nutrient dense Probiotic Cranberry powder to water, coconut water, your favorite juice, smoothies, shakes, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, porridge, berries, pudding, apple sauce, pancakes, breads, baked goods, salads, soups, wraps, stir-fry, quinoa, rice and pasta dishes, raw superfood desserts and more! For optimal PAC antioxidant efficacy, do not use it in boiling hot drinks or recipes.
